FURTHERANCE OF GOLF (FOG)

OLD EQUIPMENT GOING TO GOOD USE

Lowveld Nomad, Puso Maloka, initiated the drive to collect unused golf equipment as part of his Furtherance of Golf and Junior Golf Coordinator duties.

Thanks to all fellow members who open-heartedly gave up so many golf bags, clubs and other usable equipment, we managed to donate eight FULL sets of clubs to the Barberton Golf Academy.

Benz Nkosi, well known at Barberton Golf Club, founded the Academy in 2016 with the aim to introduce the game of golf to the less privileged children from Mjindini Village, outside Barberton (Umjindi).

This school has around 10 boys and girls who are collected from their homes every Saturday morning and taken to the Barberton GC driving range, where Benz gives them the necessary tutoring in the game.

So far, two of these kids have participated in Mpumalanga Junior Golf Foundation tournaments and will undoubtedly benefit from these donations to improve their game.

If you would like to donate anything in future, simply bring it along to the next game, or you can make contact with Puso on 082 565 4693, email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to arrange for the collection thereof.

REMEMBER TO ASK YOUR GOLFING FRIENDS AND FAMILY TOO FOR ANY DONATIONS

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT
